Get to know our church, get to know our pastor.
Starting Point is your NEXT STEP in getting connected and involved at Ocean View Church. This 3 session introduction to OVC welcomes you to our OVC family and sets you on a firm foundation to experience all that God has for you through the body of Christ. Sessions are offered once a month.
KNOW is the basic introduction to our church family and is designed to clearly explain who and what the church is. This session is broken into four parts covering: Our Salvation, Statements, Strategy and Structure.
How can I get closer to God? How can I live more and more like Jesus? How can I grow in my faith? Where do I start?
During GROW, you will learn four habits that will energize or renew your spiritual life: bible reading, prayer, giving and relationships.
At OVC we have many sayings, one of them is "every member a minister." We are all called to GIVE.GIVE is part one of our third session. In this section, we discover how God desires for us to GIVE of our TIME, our TALENT, and out TREASURE.
OVC is a "GLOCAL" church. We go locally and globally to share the love of Jesus with others who need to hear the GOSPEL. How do we share this incredible news with those around us? We discuss this in this section, which is part two of our 3rd session.
ABOUT US
SINCE 1947, God has used OCEAN VIEW CHURCH to transform the lives of men, women, and children across the South Bay and around the world with the message of the HOPE OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS. To this day, we believe that the answer to all of humanity’s problems is Jesus and that is why this church is ALL IN and in AWE TOGETHER! We exist to fulfill the GREAT COMMISSION given by Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20.
OVC IS A GLOCAL CHURCH! We seek to share Jesus locally, in our home community of sunny San Diego, and regionally, through regular outreach to Tijuana, MX. We also want to share Jesus globally, to the ends of the earth. We seek to share the message of Jesus all of the time.
